Documentation Users of A*CRC systems have access to several types of user information as well as hardware and software documentation, either hosted locally or through links to the vendor or external sites provided. Vendor supplied system hardware and operating system manuals are generally available only to A*CRC staff and approved external parties. Compiler and tools manuals and references can be made available for the external users.

A*CRC User Tools A*CRC has created or made available several useful tools for common user’s tasks such as new account request, machines status and job queues status, job submission portal and file system storage usage analysis and profiling tool. The tools are accessible directly from several access points at A*CRC website, and the full listing is given at A*CRC User Tools page.

MOTDs The message of the day for each machine appears upon logging. They are specific to a machine and change frequently.

IHPC Forum IHPC Forum portal provides a place for A*CRC users, as well as IHPC staff, students and visitors, to exchange experiences, comments and suggestions and discuss a range of HPC issues. Short, informal presentations are regularly given by customers summarizing the work being done on A*CRC machines so A*CRC staff and other customers can better utilize the resources. The monthly user meeting agenda is usually available about a week before the meeting. The viewgraphs from the monthly user meetings provide information about the current status of production machines and updates on machines under development. Customer presentation viewgraphs are also provided.
Training A*CRC can provide specific training for the users upon request, at a charge. It intends to provide more of A*CRC Workshops A*CRC also has the ability to organize specific workshops on particular topics for the users. Please contact the administrators for more information. |
